These terms are the rules for using UnitBid. They are written for shop owners, not lawyers. They are not legal advice. Questions: hello@tdcjbids.com.
1. The short version
- UnitBid is a matching desk for public TDCJ work. It is not TDCJ and not a bid-writing or bid-submitting service.
- We point you at official postings. You (or your estimator) download the package, ask questions, and turn in the bid yourself.
- Public listings can be late, thin, or wrong. The official posting always wins.
- Joining the founding list is free and is not a paid contract. Paid plans start when you check out.
- Cancel anytime after billing is live. We do not guarantee you will win work.
2. Who we are
UnitBid is the independent service at tdcjbids.com and app.tdcjbids.com. Contact: hello@tdcjbids.com.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Texas Comptroller, Bonfire/Euna, or any State of Texas agency. Do not tell a buyer, inspector, or unit staff that you “work with TDCJ through UnitBid.” That is not true.
These terms are between you and Undertoad Holdings LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as UnitBid.
3. The service
UnitBid ingests public TDCJ / agency-696 postings, scores them against the trades, area, keywords, and codes you save, and gives you a Command Center, match list, pipeline, and (if you opt in) email and text notices.
We may add, change, or pause features. Quiet weeks are normal — TDCJ work is high-value and low-volume. A quiet radar is still the product working.
SMS Terms
These SMS Terms are for the brand UnitBid, operated by Undertoad Holdings LLC.
Text alerts are optional and only on Desk and Yard. They stay off unless you check the box on the order form at app.tdcjbids.com/order, during setup, or in Settings. Checking that box is not required to buy a plan. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
If you opt in, UnitBid (Undertoad Holdings LLC) sends recurring texts when a public job newly matches your shop, or when a matched job is due within 48 hours. Frequency varies — often a few texts a month, sometimes none.

Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. You can also uncheck the text box in Settings. Help: hello@tdcjbids.com. We do not send marketing blasts by text.
4. Public data — no guarantee
Job rows come from public sources. Some rows are only a headline and a due date. We link you to the official solicitation when we have the ID. We do not invent location, NIGP, or dollar amounts.
We do not promise that every posting appears, that scores are perfect, that due dates never change, or that following a match will win a contract. Addenda, cancellations, and short windows happen on the official site. Always verify there before you spend a day or a dollar.
5. You bid. We do not.
UnitBid does not submit bids, does not bid as your agent, does not broker awards, and does not talk to TDCJ on your behalf. If anyone claims they can “get you the work” through UnitBid, that is not us.
You are responsible for licenses, insurance, bonds, CMBL / vendor registration, HUB paperwork if it applies, site rules, and every number you put on a bid.
6. Accounts and seats
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. Keep your login to people in your shop. Extra seats (Desk and Yard) are extra logins on one shop — same profile, pipeline, and bill — not a second customer.
You are responsible for what your seats do. Tell us if a seat should be removed. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or look like fraud.
7. Founding list vs paid plans
The public form on this site and on app.tdcjbids.com/order is a waitlist until live billing is turned on. Joining it does not charge your card and does not create a paid subscription.
When billing is live, checkout is through Stripe. Plans and prices are shown on the site (Scout, Desk, Yard; monthly or annual). Annual is priced at about two months free. We may hold founding rates for shops that joined the list, as we described when you signed up.
8. Billing, cancel, refunds
When you pay, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Cancel in Billing (or write hello@). Cancel stops future renewals. We do not have to refund a month already in progress unless the law requires it or we choose to as a courtesy.
Failed payments may pause the desk. Taxes, if they apply, are extra. Stripe’s terms also apply to the payment itself.
9. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Scrape, resell, or republish UnitBid matches as your own bid board
- Try to break in, overload, or probe the app
- Use the service for anything illegal, including bid collusion
- Pretend UnitBid is a state office or that we have inside information
- Upload malware or other people’s personal data you have no right to share
Public bid data on the official sites remains public. Our matching, scoring, and shop workflow are UnitBid’s.
10. Your content
Pipeline notes and profile details stay yours. You give us a license to store and display them so the desk works. Do not put secrets in notes that you cannot afford to have on a hosted system.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent Texas law allows. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
UnitBid is a tool. It is not a substitute for reading the solicitation, walking the job, or talking to your insurance agent.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent Texas law allows, we are not liable for lost bids, lost profits, missed due dates, or indirect or consequential damages.
If we are liable anyway, our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for UnitBid in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you have not paid us).
Some of this may not apply if a court says it cannot. The rest still stands.
13. If you cause a problem
If your use of UnitBid (or a bid you submit after using it) gets us a claim from someone else, you will cover the reasonable cost of that claim, including attorney fees, except to the extent we caused it by our own misconduct.
14. Texas law
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Texas have exclusive venue, except that we may seek an injunction anywhere if needed to stop abuse.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. For a material change we will email account holders or note it in the app. Continued use after the new date is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using UnitBid and cancel.
